That's the real question. I don't know. Cas and I were trying to confirm the whole lack of soul thing, and with how the spell went I think it's safe to say we were right.
But I dunno how to get it here without popping Lucifer out of his cage.
[ Being sure probably means reaching out to Cas, and he's not sure he's ready to do that yet. The idea of him still stings, the loss aching in his chest like a broken limb, throbbing in agony. ]
I think the first step is...really making sure that we're right. There's only one way I know how to do that, and that's to involve the angel.

[ He smiles, because goddamn, Dean - pull your shit together. What's wrong with you, getting all emo on people? You've got this. ]
We'll be fine, though. We always are.
no subject
[Which isn't exactly a lie. More like Ariadne trying to be comforting. She's always been good at both.
For now, she squeezes his arm, before pulling back.
And lets out a slow breath.]
Dean...what were you saying before? About Sam and his...soul?
no subject
[ Considering their fight not so long ago, he's pretty confident that's the case. ]
no subject
But if he's already there...]
Miss Evelyn and I were, uh, starting to wonder something along those lines as well.
no subject
[ He looks confused, then annoyed, then relieved. ]
So it's not just me and Cas thinkin' he's acting weird.
no subject
[She shrugs.]
I didn't want to say anything, didn't want to worry you.
no subject
[ He gives a bit of an exasperated look ]
When it comes to my brother - always worry me.
no subject
[Ariadne shakes her head.]
A missing soul is...a strong suspicion.
no subject
I get that. But I don't think it's unfounded this time. There's something really wrong.
no subject
[Yes, Dean, she's joining your family in every way. And the look in her eyes better be a good warning that she's not going to sit this one out.]
no subject
[ Which...is not great. At all. ]
no subject
[Slow blink.]
What's that?
no subject
[ And fresh, for Dean. ]
no subject
I assume that cage is in your world?
no subject
Yeah. It is. Thankfully.
no subject
[She takes a quick sip of her tea.]
So how do we get it here?
no subject
But I dunno how to get it here without popping Lucifer out of his cage.
no subject
[As squids, it was strange. We won't dwell on that.]
Some way to summon it through the sea?
no subject
[ Being sure probably means reaching out to Cas, and he's not sure he's ready to do that yet. The idea of him still stings, the loss aching in his chest like a broken limb, throbbing in agony. ]
I think the first step is...really making sure that we're right. There's only one way I know how to do that, and that's to involve the angel.
[ Can't even say his name, can you. Coward. ]
no subject
I think, if we're asking favors, we're going to have to get you two back on a first-name basis.
no subject
[ Cas will do it, Dean just...has to ask and not yell at him for leaving him again. ]
no subject
Do you want me to ask him?
I can do it, if you give me the right words.
no subject
I have his crap anyway. He needs to get it out of the house since he doesn't want to be there.
no subject
[It's a genuine offer. Not one oozing with pity.]
no subject
[ Probably. They'll likely fight like cats but he knows Cas gives a shit about Sam, at least, so he'll do it. ]
